Go to More Options, check the checkbox of Show in Debtor & Local Currency by Document.
By default, the Show in Debtor Currency is checked... since you are using Multi Currency module, and if the aging is showing in Debtors currency, it will include debtors in other currency.... thus the 'total balance' value will not be displayed, as it is meaningless to show total balance of a mixture of currencies... The total balances will be displayed (and meaningful) only when all the balances are converted into local currency.
